PayEye and Worldline set to revolutionize cashless payments services with the launch of biometric technology

Warsaw, 24 JULY 2024 – Worldline (Euronext: WLN), a global leader in payment services, and PayEye,
a provider of biometric technology for payment systems, have signed a strategic cooperation
agreement. Its aim is to develop and launch innovative payment services based on biometric
technology. It’s a vision of the future that starts today.
Payment authentication with a single glance
PayEye has developed the world’s first biometric eyepos payment terminal which enables payment
authentication with a single glance. The technology is based on the world’s first fusion of iris and facial
biometrics. During the first payment at the eyepos terminal, a unique code is generated in real-time based
on the user’s biometric features. This code is compared with the original template, which is the user, during
the payment process. To make payments with just a look, simply download the free PayEye Global app,
complete the registration process, and link a payment card from which funds will be deducted during
transactions. 20 years after the last major evolution, which was the emergence of the NFC-based technology,
today biometric transactions are seen by most of the payment experts as the next (r)evolutionary stage in the development of payment services worldwide.

And the combination of this innovative biometric technology with functionalities provided by a trusted and
experienced partner such as the global leader Worldline has produced a groundbreaking solution that is
changing the outlook of the entire electronic payments market. In an age where mobile solutions are making
our lives and daily work easier, this is a revolutionary change.

Artur Żymańczyk, Country Manager at Worldline, commented: “PayEye is known for its innovative
approach to biometric payments, while Worldline holds a globally-leading position in payment services.
Putting together our potentials will help us go down in history as innovators setting new trends in the global
payment markets, from which – thanks to even greater convenience and security in the payment process –
our customers stand to benefit the most.”
eyepos 3 – a universal payment device

Given that, just as with the development of NFC technology, the adoption of new solutions is bound to take
many years, the eyepos 3 terminal also supports other payment types, including the most popular ones today,
i.e. the ones based on NFC technology and QR codes, but it can also still be used to pay traditionally using
a payment card. Moreover, the eyepos 3 terminal is equipped with a large 5.5 inch screen, on which advertisements or a shopping list during payment can be displayed, while the Android 11 operating system provides more scope for building integrated solutions within a single device.
Radoslaw Ruda, VP of PayEye, said: “We are very pleased to be starting cooperation with Worldline, a
global leader in payment services. For us, it’s yet another strategic partnership that brings us ever closer to
launching a global expansion of our biometric solution, which, exactly like the biometrics most of us use to
unlock our phones, will revolutionise the authentication of payments, offering even greater security and
convenience for customers.”
